What are the times that I need to pay for parking at a kiosk or parking meter?
All paid parking spots in the Borough of Canonsburg, including both parking lots and on-street parking, are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week excluding all major nationally recognized holidays. All patrons parking a vehicle in these designated spots are expected to pay for their parking regardless of the time of day or day of the week. All kiosks and meters operate 24 hours a day for your convenience.
What are the current rates for parking in paid parking spots in Canonsburg?
The current rate to park in any of our monitored paid parking lots is $.50/hour, with a one hour minimum, and a four hour maximum.
The current rate to park in any of our monitored paid on-street parking spaces is $1.00/hour or $.25/15 min, with a two hour maximum.
How can I pay to park in Canonsburg?
There are several ways to pay for your parking while in our Borough. At a parking kiosk, you can use either quarters or use your debit/credit card to pay for parking. At a street meter, quarters are accepted to pay for your parking. As an added convenience, Canonsburg has added a parking app called FlowBird, which is accessible in the itunes app store and google play store.

Can I park in any lot that is marked “Permit Parking Only”?
You can park in Permit Lots, but you will need to obtain a monthly parking permit for Canonsburg Police Parking Enforcement. You can contact an Officer directly at 724-745-8020 X 522. If we are not available please leave a voicemail and we will return the call as soon as possible. If you choose to park in a lot marked “Permit Parking Only”, the violation fee is $30 if you receive a ticket while parked. All parking lots are video surveillance monitored to ensure compliance and for your safety.

What if I am only running in a local business for 5 minutes to pick up my lunch etc?
All persons parking a vehicle in a monitored paid parking spot are expected to pay for their parking regardless of time spent in that spot. Parking lots are only $.50 to park for an hour which is very reasonable based on the national average for hourly parking fees which is $5.34 per hour for rural communities across the United States. For your convenience, Rite Aid pays for four spots that are directly located in front of their store. These four spots are clearly marked with signage to differentiate them from paid parking spots located in that lot.
